Westminster and I are participating again in the Alzheimer’s Texas Walk, and our annual fundraisers supporting Alzheimer’s Texas and the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease. Can I count on you to pledge your support to this great cause?
Alzheimer’s Texas is dedicated to advancing research and enhancing care and support for individuals, their families and caregivers. I understand that this continues to be a rough time for our country and we are all working hard, and are just now coming out of the Pandemic, but Alzheimer’s Disease and its impact hasn’t stopped and neither have we.
Did you know that 1 in 3 people over the age of 85 has Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia? I’m walking because I believe that we urgently need solutions for this illness that currently affects over 350,000 individuals in Texas alone. As the leading voice for state-funded Alzheimer’s research, Alzheimer’s Texas has spearheaded efforts resulting in over 408 million in state funds for Alzheimer’s research at major research universities in Texas. Also, the programs and services they offer help individuals and caregivers learn meaningful ways to cope with the disease process.
As you may know, this has always been a cause near and dear to my heart and to all of us at Westminster and LCS.
Please support my efforts to raise money for a great cause by donating to my Fundraiser at
https://secure.txalz.org/campaign.jsp?campaign=47&fundraiser=22&
Or you can send a check directly to me at Westminster written to Alzheimer’s Texas.
Thank you so much for considering and for your support!
Best always,
cb
